Subaru, the Japanese manufacturer long celebrated for its rugged, all-terrain vehicles and iconic boxer engines, has signalled its most significant step yet into the electric era. The company has pulled the covers off a formidable trio of new battery-electric SUVs destined for Europe, including the UK. The announcement, made from its European headquarters, introduces the all-new Uncharted compact SUV, the adventure-ready E-Outback, and a substantially upgraded Solterra, all built upon a newly evolved electric platform.
This strategic offensive marks a pivotal moment for the brand, aiming to translate its core values of safety, go-anywhere capability, and driver enjoyment into the age of electrification. The new models are underpinned by the e-Subaru Global Platform, an architecture engineered to deliver more power, greater driving range, and faster charging capabilities than the brand’s first-generation EV.
